Senior Director Controlling (f/m/d)

In this role, you will lead AOP Health’s global controlling function, ensuring accurate accounting, group consolidation, compliance, and strong internal controls. You will manage the controlling team, coordinate between HQ, local finance teams, and auditors, and drive finance transformation through standardized processes and system implementation.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a central controlling team of 9–12 professionals.
  • Coordinate with local finance managers and shared service providers to align with group policies and procedures.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of 20+ entities under IFRS.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of consolidated financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain global chart of accounts, accounting manuals, and policies.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls across all entities, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Act as the main contact for external auditors, supporting statutory and tax audits.
  • Lead global ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and rollout of a consolidation/reporting tool.
  • Standardize global finance processes (P2P, invoice management, credit control).
  • Monitor and optimize working capital (DSO, DPO, inventory).
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, consolidation, and audit in a multinational environment, including proven success in strategic finance leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in IFRS implementation and group consolidation.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, governance, and statutory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 strongly preferred) and consolidation/reporting tools.
  • Track record in process design, automation, and working capital optimization.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration;
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).

  • The minimum gross annual salary for this role is 125.000 EUR on a full-time basis (38.5 hours/week). We are willing to offer industry standard salary depending on your qualifications and relevant experience
