We are looking for a Senior Associate, Strategic Transactions to support our business development and transaction activities. 

 

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

    • Support the Strategic Transactions team in business development activities, including contracting and M&A due diligence.
    • Lead project management for transactions by coordinating cross‑functional teams, tracking timelines, and maintaining structured documentation.
    • Facilitate due diligence with Commercial, R&D, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
    • Coordinate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth information flow.
    • Prepare negotiation materials, scenario analyses, and transaction summaries.
    • Conduct research and competitive analyses of therapeutic areas, assets, and company portfolios.
    • Support opportunity screening and create briefing materials for senior management.
    • Assist with business cases and financial models, including topline assumptions and P&L forecasts.
    • Maintain BD databases and ensure accurate tracking of projects and transaction milestones.
    • Contribute to improving processes within the Strategic Transactions function.

Your Qualifications And Experience

    • University degree in life sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, business, or related fields.
    • 2–4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
    • Preferred: exposure to commercial roles (marketing, sales, market access, business analysis).
    • Advantage: initial experience in business development, transactions, or cross‑functional project coordination.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to structure complex workflows and manage multiple workstreams.
    • Ability to synthesize scientific, commercial, and financial information into clear insights.
    • High drive, ownership mentality, and proactiveness in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Experience with due diligence (licensing or M&A) is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of business case modelling and financial forecasting is beneficial.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Proficient in Office 365, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Willingness to travel

  • Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to disclose the collective agreement minimum salary, which is EUR 45.080 gross per year, based on full-time employment. However, our actual remuneration packages are market-oriented and aligned with your qualifications and professional experience.
