Vice President Medical Affairs (US)

In this role, you will establish and lead US Medical Affairs for Rapiblyk, shaping the scientific foundation that drives evidence-based adoption in critical care and cardiology. You will build and guide the MSL organization, define scientific engagement strategy, and ensure compliant, high-impact medical communications that strengthen credibility and clinical partnership.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

  • Build, hire, and mentor a high‑performing MSL team; set engagement strategy, territory plans, and metrics.
  • Lead KOL strategy, advisory boards, and external scientific collaborations; capture and synthesize insights to inform strategy.
  • Oversee congress, publications, and medical communications; partner with Clinical on IITs/RWE as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliant separation from commercial; chair MLR as medical signatory and provide scientific training for internal teams.
  • Serve as the primary medical spokesperson with external stakeholders and represent AOP at scientific congresses.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • MD/DO/PharmD with 10+ years in Medical Affairs; proven experience building and leading MSL teams.
  • Strong knowledge of US regulatory requirements for medical communications, Cardiology or critical care experience preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and KOL engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Rare disease launch experience and exposure to registries and real-world evidence (RWE) generation preferred.
  • Experience with medical information systems and safety/pharmacovigilance interfaces preferred.
  • US‑based; travel to support field medical and congress activities (~40%).
