In this position you will play a key role in driving the end-to-end CMC strategy for AOP Health’s programs — overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of CMC activities across the Technical Development (TD) organization.

- Establish end-to-end planning, execution, and oversight of CMC development and lifecycle management (LCM) activities across AOP’s portfolio
- Set up and lead TD matrix teams and subteams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, while proactively managing risks
- Define short-, mid-, and long-term technical program strategies and translate them into robust, actionable plans
- Ensure close alignment and effective communication between TD teams, program teams, and brand teams to enable fast, informed decision-making and timely escalation when needed
- Provide clear prioritization by distinguishing between mandatory deliverables and nice-to-haves, ensuring optimal resource allocation
- Drive a unified project management approach across TD by implementing standardized tools and systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within TD and with key stakeholders (QM, RA, SCM, PMO, etc.)
- Oversee the planning, management, and controlling of program budgets
- Proactively communicate key issues, risks, and mitigation plans to relevant stakeholders and management
- Provide technical input for due diligence processes and portfolio expansion opportunities, and support business case development
Your Qualifications and Experience
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in a technical or scientific discipline, preferably in chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or process engineering.
- Solid expertise in at least one CMC area (e.g., process development, analytical development, technical writing, or manufacturing) with broad understanding across the CMC domain.
- Solid project management skills (PMP certification or similar is an asset) and experience with widely used digital project management tools like MS Project, Planisware, Smartsheets etc.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a CMC environment (e.g., GMP manufacturing).
- Familiarity with EMA/FDA/ICH/WHO/global regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with investigations, OOSs, deviations, and CAPAs is a plus.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional matrix teams and represent TD’s perspective.
- Strong ownership mindset with proactive drive to move workstreams forward.
- Strategic thinker who can translate the big picture into clear operational goals.
- Collaborative, customer-oriented approach with strong stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to drive Operational Excellence initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent preferred)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills in English; basic German is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with end-to-end budget planning and management.

- Gross annual salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 80.000.- based on full-time employment (38,5h/week). Any potential overpayment depends on professional experience and qualifications.
